I'm 50, live in Austin, Texas but am a Northern California native and my heart still belongs there. I spend a lot of my time quilting, cooking, reading and working on my house. I've been keeping track for about ten years of all the books that I read. I had been writing comments but life got in the way and I need to start doing that again.

A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg

This is a wonderful book, of course I got it at the library, but now I am going to go buy it.

This book reads like a novel but it is a cookbook essentially. Molly Wizenberg started a blog after her father died five years ago (link for her blog Orangette is below) and it took off like crazy. She met her husband through her blog. She blogs about cooking and recipes and how they tie to her life. The book was really good, I need it, because today I made the Slow Roasted Tomatoes to put in an Italian dish I made up and they are really wonderful. Most of the recipes are wonderful. Every chapter is a family or personal story that has food tied to it, at the end of the chapter is the recipe. If you love food and family this book is for you.
