Dog On It by Spencer Quinn

A mystery for the animal lover. One of my friends recommended it to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. First time novel, told in the point of view of the dog who is owned by a private eye. The dog was trained as a police dog but failed the final exam and the private eye is a former cop that you don't quite no why yet he is a former cop. Great quick read and my understanding it is the first in a series.
