Well a year and almost a half later, I've got my book list for this year on my blog. Thanks to my friend Rain! I owe her, will have to come up with something for her help!
It took awhile to get all the books listed, I read a lot and now I want to figure out how to put in some ratings. Right now I am about to finish a book called Olive Kittridge by Elizabeth Strout which was recommended from the author Jennifer Weiner's blog. It's pretty good, it is a series of short stories with the character Olive Kittridge running through them. Sometimes she just passes through another characters life very briefly but she is in every one of the stories. My best friend Tish's daughter, Nicole, noticed I was reading this book and said she was also. Generation gap between the two of us, she's 26, I'm 48, and after talking with her about the book briefly she said it was good but I have a feeling it's for the over 40 woman. I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Not quite a delightful romp (delightful romps are not meaty books)but worth the read. By the way, Elizabeth Strout won a Pulitzer prize for fiction for this short story collection.
