Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson

This was a fun first novel about a retired British Army Major, widowed, who finds an unlikely romance in his small town with an Indian woman. It was a great book, the way she wove the two different character's stories and some outside interests. Very enjoyable, will definitely look for her next novel.
