The Blind Side by Michael Lewis

The name of this book may sound familiar, it is currently a fairly new released movie starring Sandra Bullock. The author of this non-fiction book, Michael Lewis, has written many non-fiction books, others about sports, financial issues and the Silicon Valley. I've read them all, they are really well written. The book is about the NFL, college football, high school football, recruiting and one African American boy who has led a life of unimaginable hardship. I guess you could call him lucky, the planets aligned, whatever, he found himself in a situation where a wealthy white family took him in and loved him and steered him. Great book, not telling more about that story. I also learned a lot about what the blind side is, the side the quarterback can't see when he is preparing for a pass and how it is the most vulnerable moment for him to be taken down.
