Evil at Heart by Chelsea Cain

First, this book is not for the faint of heart. It is her third book in a series which started with "Heartsick" then "Sweetheart". The author has to be a little twisted to write these books but they move quickly and are very engrossing. Serial killer who is a doctor and a detective who is hunting her, who also happened to be the one victim that got away.
